In the day's other game, West Ham are aiming to preserve their record of five successive home victories over Hull, which dates back nearly 25 years to 1990. Mark Chapman presents coverage of the day's three Premier League matches. Burnley welcome West Brom to Turf Moor in a crucial battle towards the foot of the table. When the two sides met earlier in the season, the Baggies inflicted a heavy 4-0 defeat on the newly promoted Clarets, but since then Sean Dyche's side have found their feet in the Premier League and are now a different proposition. Stoke face a tricky trip to play Newcastle. The Potters have come away with three points on just one of their five Premier League visits to St James' Park, but they have won the last two games at home against the Magpies by the same scoreline: 1-0. West Ham host Manchester United in the last fixture of the day. The Red Devils have taken 34 points from their last 12 Premier League games against the Hammers and last lost in this fixture back in 2007. Last season, Manchester United won 2-1 courtesy of a wonder goal from current skipper Wayne Rooney.

In this fixture last season, the two title rivals produced a thrilling contest which was settled by Philippe Coutinho's late goal, earning Liverpool a 3-2 victory at Anfield after City had fought back from 2-0 down. That win put Brendan Rodgers' side in the driving seat in the race for the Premier League title with four games to go, although City ultimately emerged victorious. The day's other game sees Arsenal host Everton at the Emirates Stadium as the Gunners look to keep their fight for a top-four place on course. Everton have struggled this season and will be hoping to finish the campaign with a flourish.

United had won eight of the previous nine home league games against the Reds. Which way will the pendulum swing in their first meeting of the 2014-15 campaign? Tottenham travelled to Swansea in the day's other game, a fixture Spurs have historically enjoyed in Premier League past. The north London club have won five of the previous six meetings, only dropping points in their first meeting back in December 2011.

Mark Chapman presents highlights of the day's two Premier League games, including title contenders Chelsea's home clash with high-flying Southampton. When the teams met at St Mary's in December, Southampton took a first-half lead through Sadio Mane but Eden Hazard's brilliant equaliser earned Chelsea a point. Saints also led when they travelled to Stamford Bridge last season, but Chelsea fought back to win 3-1 and the Blues haven't lost at home to Southampton since 2002. Manchester United host Tottenham, who are aiming for a third consecutive victory at Old Trafford. Last season, goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Christian Eriksen earned Tim Sherwood's Spurs side a 2-1 win. Elsewhere, Newcastle travel to Everton and Tony Pulis sees his new side West Brom host his former club Stoke at the Hawthorns.

West Ham hope to continue their winning record against Swansea, having taken the three points in their two previous Premier League meetings at Upton Park. In 2013 the Hammers went into this fixture in the relegation zone, but two goals from Kevin Nolan gave them a crucial victory. Plus Midlands rivals Aston Villa and Leicester meet in the league for the first time in over ten years, and both teams are desperate to take the bragging rights.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's three Premier League fixtures, in which Liverpool and Manchester United renew their rivalry at Anfield, while long-time leaders Chelsea head to Hull and relegation-threatened QPR host Everton. Hull had only beaten Chelsea once in 90 years prior to this fixture, and never in the Premier League. Chelsea were 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture, which was marred by two Chelsea players being booked for diving and Gary Cahill lucky not to be sent off for a second yellow card after taking a tumble to try and win a penalty. At Anfield, the two most successful clubs in the English game faced each other in a game that had ramifications for their pursuit of Champions League qualification. The previous two meetings, both at Old Trafford, ended 3-0, with Manchester United avenging last season's home defeat with a comprehensive victory in December.
