After a mother and son of an attorney go missing, Brooke and Jess must work with a legendary FBI agent to solve the case. Jess believes she is being stalked by a homeless person but it turns out she is a former psychic for the FBI, a living warning of the cost of working for the FBI. Brooke is offered a promotion that would move her to San Francisco and end the her and Jess' partnership.

The more they discover, the more Brooke and Jess realize that he may not be the person they should be looking for.
