Highlights from an action-packed day featuring four Premier League games, with Arsenal, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs amongst the teams on duty. Champions Manchester City face a tricky encounter with Wolves, who were one of just six teams to take points off Pep Guardiola’s side last season. City’s local rivals Manchester United, meanwhile, travel to Tyneside to face a Newcastle side managed by former Red Devils player Steve Bruce. Bournemouth face a testing away game at Arsenal, where they have lost all four of their previous Premier League matches, while Southampton host Chelsea. Chelsea face Liverpool in a heavyweight clash at Stamford Bridge. It is the second meeting between the clubs this season after European champions Liverpool won the Uefa Super Cup on penalties against Europa League winners Chelsea last month following an entertaining 2-2 draw between the sides. Both clubs broke their transfer records over the summer in an attempt to bridge the gap at the top of the table.
