Overview
Four years ago, Jeff and Paige discovered a beautiful beach community and instantly fell in love with it. So when a beach house became available, they jumped on it and downsized. They tolerated the small, two-bedroom vacation home until their third child was born, but now the house is bursting at the seams. From the lack of space in the kitchen to the tiny living room cluttered with children's toys, Paige thinks it's time to move on to a more suitable home for their family. Here to save the day are experts designer Jillian and realtor Todd. Jillian's team will take this cramped cottage and try to transform it into a functional family retreat, while Todd believes he can redefine the serenity of coastal living with a new home. Desperate to stay in their beautiful beach community but fed up with the vacation home that was never meant for year round living, Jeff and Paige will have to decide: will they love their home again or will they list it?

Franny and Salim bought this tranquil five bedroom family home in 1986, more than fourteen years after leaving East Africa for a new life. Although it was an ideal home for raising their family, there are now four grown adults living in the home because their daughters Alysha and Alyah have yet to move out. Franny doesn't want to give up on their home full of memories, but the rest of the family thinks it's time to move on. The girls are fed up with not having any personal space and there's only one usable bathroom for everyone to share... Enter competitors Jillian and Todd. Designer Jillian and her team will transform this crowded house into a relaxing space for the entire family, while Todd feels he can find all the breathing room they need in another home. David and Geneva bought their fixer-upper in search of more room for their growing family. But four years later, the renovations are still not completed and Geneva is fed up.
