Michal escapes Gibeah, believing her place is by her father's side at the battlefield. Rizpah's true origins are revealed. David's older brother, Eliab, inadvertently helps David realize his destiny.

Saul confides his worries in David. Ishbaal hires an assassin to kill the prophet. Ahinoam, in an effort to unite the tribes of Israel, proposes a strategic marriage. A traitor is exposed. David returns home, where he receives life-altering news from a surprise visitor.

David realizes his feelings for Michal and devises a plan to marry her instead of Merav. Michal asks Jonathan to watch out for David. Ishbal seeks to travel to Bethlehem in order to learn about David. Ahinoam is angered by David's humiliation of Merav. Saul, who empathizes with David's plight, pledged to be faithful and more loving toward Ahimoam.
