While contemplating this vision Chase is attacked by a S.T.O.R.M. soldier. In fear of what Lock might do, Chase orders Lock away. In the desert, Lock happens upon a Monsuno core buried in the ground and absorbs its essence. In this confused state, a former S.T.O.R.M. agent named Jack uses Lock for his own purposes.
