Karl hosts a neighbor families dinner with the Turners and Willises, but while the mothers enjoy and the kids get along politely, the fathers cockily compete over everything, as if Therese still had to be won. Josh clarifies to obviously interested Amber that his Olympic swimming and school schedules simply leave no time for anything resembling romance. Mason starts to regret having dumped Kate, but Paul makes sure he learns they kissed, rekindling his rift fury.
