Norwich kicked off proceedings on Friday night with a trip to last season’s runners-up Liverpool, with Sheffield United and Aston Villa facing respective away matches at Bournemouth and Tottenham today. 2018-19 champions Manchester City begin at West Ham, coached by ex-City manager Manuel Pellegrini, with the day’s other games seeing Burnley against Southampton, Crystal Palace versus Everton and last season’s FA Cup runners-up Watford taking on Brighton.
