Lucy appears on the Johnny Carson show and plays ""stump the band"", and wins a dinner at the Brown Derby. Unfortunately for Johnny Carson, Lucy and Uncle Harry coincidentally dine at the Brown Derby when Carson and McMahon are also dining. Naturally, Lucy believes she must have won a dinner with Johnny and Ed and joins them.
