Cậu thiếu niên Frankie tìm những người đàn ông lớn tuổi, làm tình với họ trong khách sạn, trên bãi biển… mà không biết rằng mình thích cái gì và từ chối bật camera khi chat sex. Giống như Frankie, rất nhiều người đồng tính hiện nay phải vật lộn để tìm được vị trí của mình trong cộng đồng. Đôi khi họ bất lực và dấn thân vào một ngõ cụt dẫn đến bạo lực như cái kết của Beach Rats hay Moonlight.
