Lấy cảm hứng từ cuốn tiểu thuyết Les liaisons dangereuses của nhà văn người Pháp Choderlos de Laclos, ra đời năm 1782. Dangerous liaisons đưa người xem về Thượng Hải những năm 30 của thế ký trước.
