Episode 1
Inspired by a news story, Phileas Fogg is goaded into betting that he can circle the globe in just 80 days, despite never having been abroad before.
Episode 2
Fogg's self-respect is shattered by an arrogant widower's ridicule, worrying Abigail and Passepartout even before a disaster strikes.
Episode 3
Stuck on Yemen’s west coast, foolhardy Fogg decides on a dangerous desert crossing, leaving Abigail Fix in a place where even a fellow Englishwoman proves hostile.
Episode 4
In remote India, Fogg grumpily waits for a wedding to be over, but the groom is grabbed by the army. Passepartout is torn about potentially sabotaging the trip, while Miss Fix’s self-belief has been shaken.
Episode 5
Passepartout's knowledge of Hong Kong proves useful when Fogg’s finances are blocked. However, there is a high price to be paid. Abigail’s latest article could humiliate Phileas at a party in his honour.
Episode 6
Pacific castaways, Passepartout attempts to atone for his treachery, and Abigail is apologetic, but Phileas remains stubborn as revelations and regrets drive wedges between them. The Reform Club hears the distressing news that Fogg and ‘Fix’ are lost at sea.
Episode 7
Racing through the Rockies, Fogg unwillingly lets a laconic lawman and his prisoner share the chartered stagecoach, unaware the captive’s cronies are in hot pursuit, leading to a violent showdown before sundown.
Episode 8
An irresistible reunion, deadly dockside danger and regrettable red tape mean Phileas Fogg faces failure while his companions ponder parting from each other.

The New Avengers
The New Avengers is a British secret agent fantasy adventure television series broadcast during 1976 and 1977. It is a sequel to the 1960s series The Avengers and was developed by Albert Fennell and Brian Clemens.
A joint United Kingdom-France-Canada production, the show picks up the adventures of John Steed and his team of Avengers fighting evil plots and world domination. Whereas in the original series Steed had almost always been partnered with a woman, in the new series he had two partners: Mike Gambit, a top agent, crack marksman and trained martial artist, and Purdey, a former trainee with The Royal Ballet who was an amalgam of many of the best talents from Steed's previous female partners.
