Sora receives a package from his dad in Egypt: a huge casket with a tiny mummy. The instructions are unclear, but what’s certain is that he’s going to have to learn to take care of his new mummy, Mii-kun.

Balancing school and taking care of Mii-kun turns out to be a challenge, but with a little help from his friend, Tazuki, Sora takes it on like a champ.

Sora comes down with the flu. Kaede and Mii-kun are desperate to help, but his strong sense of independence makes him a little difficult to care for.

Tazuki encounters a child oni on his way home from work. Though the oni appears to be beat up pretty badly, Tazuki refuses to take him in.

Mogi comes home to a tiny dragon hanging out in her room. This is terrible news to her, as she has a fear of lizards.
Episode 6: I Can't Grow All at Once, So I'll Grow Over Time
Mii-kun, Conny and Isao learn to write – kind of. Kaede’s mandrake gets loose, and the gang sets out to bring it home before the unthinkable happens.
Episode 7: Scary Dreams Are Okay Because I'm Not Alone
A student with a menacing look threatens the gang. There seems to be something wrong with him. Sora offers him his help.
Episode 8: New Places, Strange Places, Strange Friends
The gang finds a perfect babysitter for their creatures. From there, Mii-kun sets out on an unintended adventure.

Conny has developed some bad habits, including stealing food from the family. His relationship with Tazuki becomes strained.

Sora’s dad sends him another gift. It doesn’t seem to be dangerous in any way, but it sure is talkative.

Sora’s classmate, Suzuki, shows him a photo of an injured inugami. Sora and the gang head out to the mountains to find it.
