But they end up having a great time and get piles of phone numbers from single guys.

Irene sinks Berg's attempt to win her back by attending his work party on a yacht, where her dress gets more attention than he does. Meanwhile, Ashley ropes Pete into being her date in hopes of scoring a major fellowship she thinks Berg is going after.
