Episode 1: Mysterious Package
Han Se-joo is a popular writer who needs nothing but more time to write his novels that are recognized and loved by the public. Jeon Seol, the legendary girl being good at everything, is a big fan of Se-joo and she would give anything to meet with Se-joo. And one day, she is asked to deliver a mysterious box to Se-joo.
Episode 2: Feeling the Past
Seol subdues the intruder that tries to harm Se-joo. While grabbing the gun, she sees her past life. The police arrive and the stalker gets arrested. Apparently, the intruder is the culprit of another shooting incident. However, he suddenly commits suicide while being locked up in his prison cell. The public goes on a spree with rumors of how Se-joo’s writing is tightly connected with the crimes of the culprit.
Episode 3: Just a Dream?
Se-joo is unable to write anything while he’s in his slump. He almost gets himself killed in an accident. At the detrimental moment, Seol comes to help. She takes Se-joo to her father’s cabin. Se-joo keeps an eye out for any kind of danger and coincidentally saves Seol from harm. Se-joo keeps on having weird dreams and Seol always appears in them.
Episode 4: Ghost Writer
Se-joo is confused as Yoo Ji-no keeps following him and saying he is Se-joo’s ghost writer. Se-joo finally finds out that Seol has tried to be helpful while they get caught and reported as lovers. Ji-no finds out that Se-joo was a ghost writer for Baek Tae-min before. Se-joo finds out that there were encounters between Seol and Tae-min. He starts to feel a bit jealous.
Episode 5: A Ghost Writer
Se-joo and Seol are highlighted by the media and public mistaken for having a relationship. Seol keeps on getting phone calls from Se-joo’s fans every day, who threaten her welfare. Still having the writer’s block, Se-joo is unable to write out any good quality episodes for his serial material. In the end, he decides to hold a conference to make an announce about his ghost writer.
Episode 6: The Words Perhaps I Want to Hear the Most
Se-joo finally finds out Ji-no is an actual ghost, and Ji-no explains that he, Se-joo, and Seol were friends in the past. However, no one believes Se-joo sees Ji-no, the ghost. Ji-no tries to persuade Se-joo to finish the novel “Chicago Typewriter” together saying that the novel was actually written by Se-joo 80 years ago.
Episode 7: One Condition
Se-joo rejects the idea of continuing with his writing but gets concerned that it might ruin his career forever. Seol brings Gyeon-woo to Tae-min, but Se-joo takes Gyeon-woo away. Se-joo finally accepts the idea of writing with Ji-no under one condition: Se-joo must keep men away from Seol.
Episode 8: The Contract
Se-joo is torn between just pretending to like Seol or really having a feeling for her. The dilemma all starts because Ji-no asks Se-joo to be around her to protect and care for her. Se-joo needs a story to write, and Ji-no wants to get closer to Seol. They end up writing a contract to settle their needs. Se-joo feels awkward because he does not know how to act around Seol and makes her upset by saying the wrong things.
Episode 9: The New Novel
Ji-no gets amazed at how much Seoul has changed and asks Se-joo to go on a tour around the city. They bring Seol along with them. When Ji-no sees that Seoul has finally gained the independence he longed for, he wishes to live his youth again in 2017. Meanwhile, Baek Do-ha tells Tae-min that Se-joo has the original copy of “Fate”. Do-ha suggests Tae-min to start anew, but Tae-min refuses.
Episode 10: The Ill Fate
As Ji-no and Se-joo continue writing the novel, Se-joo remembers the past more. Seol’s mother comes back and tells Seol not to cross paths with the ill-fated people. She also confesses that she can see the past life as well. Meanwhile, Tae-min visits Se-joo and begs for the first draft of “Fate”.
Episode 11: The Accident
Seol decides to leave Se-joo because she believes that they are ill-fated. However, Se-joo doesn’t let her go easily. Seol tells Tae-min that she can’t help with his work and Tae-min gets furious. Meanwhile, Se-joo gets invited by Ms. Hong So-hee to have dinner at her house. There, Se-joo meets Do-ha and tells him that he gave Tae-min the first draft of “Fate”.
Episode 12: I Can See You
Seol and Se-joo decide that they don’t want to play game with the relationship and be honest about their feelings. Se-joo suggests Seol to write the novel with him and Ji-no. Seol finally gets to meet Ji-no and remembers other things from the past. Meanwhile, Tae-min meets Jo Sang-mi and asks what she really wants to do with Se-joo.
Episode 13: The Secret Agent
Seol and Se-joo travel to the past and meet their past selves. After escaping the gunfight that broke out in Gyeongseong, Seol and Se-joo find out that there is a secret agent hiding among Joseon Youth Alliance. Meanwhile, Jo Sang-mi continues her plot against Seol, and Se-joo finds out that Sang-mi’s target is Seol, not him.
Episode 14: The Mission
Seol’s first morning at Se-joo’s house turns into a fierce competition between Ji-no and Se-joo. They try their best to win Seol’s heart. Meanwhile, Tae-min makes Sang-mi to lure Seol into her house and makes Seol a hostage. Se-joo runs to rescue Seol but finds Tae-min waiting for him.
Episode 15: The Separate Ways
Ryu Soo-hyeon is captured and tortured by Heo Young-min. When Shin Yool finds out that Soo-hyeon had been captured, he decides to go and save her. However, Seo Hwi-young does not allow him to go. Meanwhile, Tae-min flees from the scene and leaves Se-joo injured. The police break into Sang-mi’s house and finds Seol tied up to a chair.
Episode 16: The End and Beginning
When Soo-hyeon learns that Hwi-young was captured and killed, she goes her own ways to execute the wrongdoers. She assassinates every betrayer, including Shin Yool. In the present time, Ji-no finds out how he was killed in his past life and gets shocked. Ji-no’s body keeps flickering, signaling that it’s almost time for him to leave.
