Overview
Miami homicide detective Freddy Ponce is called to the brutal beating death of a homeless man. After finding what he believes is the suspect, Ponce's case takes an unexpected turn. In Kansas, a grandmother is found stabbed to death in her kitchen. Detective Ray Lenoir hunts down several potential leads, but it is the forensic evidence that finally reveals their suspect.

They must rely on witnesses among the outraged members of the community to point them toward their suspects.

The victim's girlfriend was there and may know the identity of the killer.
