Overview
Doug makes a model of a volcano for a science project. But when rumor has it that the volcano erupted, and caused the whole science room to explode, Doug decides to disguise himself as Jack Bandit and go on the lam to avoid the cops.

Episode 1: Doug Bags a Neematoad
In the series premiere, we find the Funnie family have moved from Bloatsburg and are just arriving at their new home in the town of Bluffington. 11 year old Doug Funnie writes his thoughts in his journal and worries he won't be able to make any friends. On a search to find food for his Mom (Theda), Dad (Phil) and sister (Judy), Doug meets his next door neighbour Mr. Dink. He shows Doug a video about Bluffington and introduces him to the popular hangout fast food restaurant called The Honker Burger. When Doug gets to the hangout, he meets Skeeter Valentine who befriends him right away. Doug also meets Patti Mayonnaise and right away, has a secret crush on her. However, all is not well when he also meets the local bully Roger Klotz who tricks Doug into believing he has to catch a monster called a Neematoad at Stinsen's Pond to be a town hero.
Episode 5: Doug's Big Nose
Doug refuses to get his picture taken for School Photo Swap Day at school, because he has suddenly become self-concious of his nose after Skeeter's brother Dale calls Doug ""big nose"".
Episode 6: Doug Takes a Hike
Doug joins the Bluff Scouts and on his first camping trip with the scouts, Roger ""volunteers"" to be Doug's camping partner.
Episode 7: Doug Rocks
Skeeter and Doug win tickets to go see The Beets live in concert. Unfortunately, everything comes to a halt when Skeeter gets grounded and can't go with Doug to the concert. Doug wants to go to the concert, but sticks with his best friend. On the night of the concert, the two of them head off to the Honker Burger and get the surprise of their life.
Episode 8: Doug Can't Dig It
Doug is thrilled when Mrs. Wingo tells him that he'll be introducing a special performer for an upcoming school show. That is, until he finds out that the performer is actually his sister, Judy.
Episode 9: Doug Didn't Do It
A prankster steals Vice Principal Bone's ""Der Grosser Yodelmeister"" Trophy, and puts it in Doug's locker. Mr. Bone searches all the school's lockers and is convinced that Doug had stolen the trophy.

For Student Government Day, Doug is chosen to interview the Mayor of Bluffington, Mr. Robert ""Bob"" White. He visits the mayor on a field trip to Bluffington Town Hall, and saves the ice cream factory from a meltdown.

Doug is entered (thanks to Roger) into a school talent contest, and decides to try out a ventriloquism act. Once their on stage, Doug has to keep his new pal Buster from losing his head on stage.

Doug feels inferior because he doesn't have awesome new shoes, Sky Davis Inflatable Air Jet, like everyone else. That is, until he meets the real Sky Davis.
Episode 13: Doug to the Rescue
Roger begins pestering Patti to help him with his book report, and when Patti finally loses her temper and yells at Roger to leave her alone, they get punished with a trip to detention. This doesn't sit well with Doug, who tries to stop Roger from bugging Patti. First appearance of Quailman
