Overview
Yuichi hasn’t seen his cousin Nayuki in years. Now that he’s back, all knowledge of ever visiting has vanished. He tries to adjust to the vaguely familiar surroundings, but the gaps in his memory haunt him as time grows short. The pieces of the puzzle have appeared – an eerily silent beauty with blazing tresses, the mysterious girl with the winged backpack, and the sword-wielding demon slayer – but it’s up to Yuichi to discover how they fit together.

Episode 1: Silver Overture
In a town blanketed by snow, a place from his distant childhood, Yuichi reconnects with his cousin Nayuki. As she gives him a tour of his new home, he struggles with memories long faded.
Episode 2: Introit in the Snow
After his first day at school, Yuichi is able to stir the memories of Ayu, who happily recalls a promise he made to her years before. But the strange girl who later attacks Yuichi doesn’t seem happy at all.
Episode 3: A Forgotten Partita
Yuichi’s attacker claims to have amnesia, and with the gaps in his own recollections and Ayu’s forgetfulness, Yuichi starts to think the town might somehow alter people’s memories.
Episode 4: Holiday Caprice
Ayu still can’t locate what she’s looking for, but Yuichi knows where he left Nayuki’s notes: at the school. When he goes retrieve them, he finds he’s not alone in the hallways - and the other person is armed.
Episode 5: Demons' Serenade
Mai explains why she’s at the school with a sword. The next day, Yuichi sees her almost use it on Makoto! When the incident ends, Mai offers Yuichi a bit of odd advice on how to handle the amnesiac.
Episode 6: A Mysterious Divertimento
Makoto has an appointment to interview for a job at a café. Meanwhile, another encounter with Shiori makes Yuichi late for his movie date with Ayu.
Episode 7: Fugue of a Runaway Kitten
Makoto’s carelessness with a kitten causes Yuichi to lash out. Unfortunately, Makoto’s response to his anger is to run away. Later, Mai somehow directs him to her likely location.
Episode 8: Fantasia of Reminiscence
Yuichi finds his feelings for Makoto growing, and his memory offers clues of who she might really be. Meanwhile, a girl named Mishio offers him startling information about Makoto - and a strange warning.
Episode 9: The Berceuse of the Baby Fox
Makoto is growing weaker, leading Yuichi to increase the amount of attention he gives her. Her condition grave, Yuichi recalls Mishio’s words - and he also remembers a fuller picture of Makoto’s past.
Episode 10: Requiem atop the Hill
Yuichi and Makoto spend a personal moment alone atop a special hill. As she seems to slowly slip away from this world, his only focus is on making sure her wishes come true.
Episode 11: Intermezzo of Light and a Shadow
Yuichi discovers Mai’s bad reputation; she has a history of being blamed any time something bad happens on campus. Hoping to help her fix her image, Yuichi invites her to the school dance.
Episode 12: A Grotesque Waltz
Yuichi’s plan to salvage Mai’s reputation seems to be working! With him in a tux and her looking radiant in her dress, nothing could ruin the school dance - except maybe the sudden appearance of a demon.
Episode 13: A Dangerous Trio
Yuichi’s eager to defend Mai after her outburst at the dance, but someone beats him to it. His chance to play the hero dashed, Yuichi turns his attention to convincing Mai he’s brave enough to fight alongside her.
Episode 14: Cracked Concerto
Yuichi is throttled by Mai’s revelation that the demons might come after him next. Sayuri is worried about both of her friends, but an attempt to surprise Mai on her birthday could end disastrously!
Episode 15: Sonatina of Hide-and-Seek
After fighting their way to the last demon, Mai mysteriously disappears and Yuichi is floored by an invisible force that conjures up visions of the past - and reveals a shocking secret!
Episode 16: Midnight Oratorio
Yuichi decides it’s time to make good on his promise to Shiori. The two friends enjoy a day of snowball fights and whack-a-mole, but Yuichi’s evening is marred by tragic revelations.
Episode 17: Lieder Ohne Worte of an Elder Sister and a Younger Sister
Yuichi desperately wants to make Shiori’s birthday special, but he can’t seem to think of how - until a chat with Ayu provides just the right inspiration.
Episode 18: The Disappearing Adagio
Hoping to make her final days special, Yuichi hatches a plan to surprise Shiori with a birthday party on the day before her birthday! But there’s one thing he must do first - convince Kaori to attend the party.
Episode 19: Étude of Contact
Yuichi sees Nayuki in a different light when the final track meet rolls around. Later on, Ayu and Yuichi’s search for the all-important missing item leads to something very special.
Episode 20: Nocturne of Separation
Still basking in the glow of their kiss, Yuichi and Ayu spend more and more time together. Everything appears to be going splendidly - until their burgeoning romance is derailed by a visit to Ayu’s school.
Episode 21: A Rondo Without You
Ayu’s disappearance prompts Yuichi to search even more diligently for her missing item. Nayuki goes out of her way to cheer up her heartsick housemate, but she my regret requesting strawberry cake.
Episode 22: Symphony of Recollection
Grief-stricken Nayuki locks herself in her room and refuses to let anyone enter. Tragic memories concerning Ayu wash over Yuichi, causing him to wander into the woods during a snowstorm.
Episode 23: The Scarlet Red Finale
Yuichi is rescued by Makoto - who offers him some encouraging words. Meanwhile, Kaori tries to help Nayuki deal with her mother’s accident. And finally, Yuichi is reunited with Ayu - at least temporarily.
Episode 24: Kanon at the End of a Dream
Yuichi is still searching for Ayu. Akiko may hold the key to discovering her whereabouts, but will Yuichi be able to handle the truth about her current condition?
