Reigning champions Manchester City are the first side in action on Sunday afternoon, with Pep Guardiola’s side making the long trip to the south coast to face AFC Bournemouth. Tottenham Hotspur – the side that saw off City in last season’s Champions League quarter-final – are also in action, taking on a Newcastle United side who will be desperate to start the season well under new boss Steve Bruce. The Premier League puts on its Sunday best with the raucous atmosphere and riveting action of the North London derby, plus an intriguing game between ambitious Everton and Wolves. Arsenal are unbeaten at home to Tottenham in the Premier League since 2010 and came from behind to deservedly win 4-2 in the corresponding fixture last season. Both clubs broke their transfer records over the summer in an attempt to bridge the gap at the top of the table. Everton and Wolves finished as the best of the rest outside the top six last season and have also spent heavily over the summer. Wolves won 3-1 at Goodison Park in the New Year, although the headlines went to a black cat on the pitch which held up play for several minutes. Mark Chapman and guests discuss the goals, drama and major talking points from today’s two Premier League fixtures. Everton began this campaign with ambitions of breaking into the top six, and they travelled to Bournemouth today having played out a thrilling 2-2 draw on the south coast last season, in which both teams ended with ten men. In today’s other contest, Watford hosted Arsenal having beaten the Gunners just once at home since 1987.

Mark Chapman presents highlights of today’s four mouthwatering fixtures from the Premier League, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal all in action. Chelsea face Liverpool in a heavyweight clash at Stamford Bridge. It is the second meeting between the clubs this season after European champions Liverpool won the Uefa Super Cup on penalties against Europa League winners Chelsea last month following an entertaining 2-2 draw between the sides. They day’s other games see West Ham take on Manchester United at the London Stadium, Wolves travel to Crystal Palace and Arsenal host promoted Aston Villa. Mark Chapman presents highlights of today’s only match in the Premier League as Leicester host Newcastle at the King Power Stadium. Brendan Rodgers’ side have started the season in superb form with their England stars - past, present and potentially future - in top form. Jamie Vardy, James Maddison and Hamza Choudhury have been to the fore as they have negotiated a tricky run of games in style. Newcastle are still finding their feet under new boss Steve Bruce but enjoyed a landmark victory at Champions League finalists Tottenham.

Highlights from an action-packed day featuring four Premier League games, with Arsenal, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs amongst the teams on duty. Champions Manchester City face a tricky encounter with Wolves, who were one of just six teams to take points off Pep Guardiola’s side last season. City’s local rivals Manchester United, meanwhile, travel to Tyneside to face a Newcastle side managed by former Red Devils player Steve Bruce. Bournemouth face a testing away game at Arsenal, where they have lost all four of their previous Premier League matches, while Southampton host Chelsea. Highlights from today’s three Premier League games, including the mouthwatering clash between title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield. Last season Liverpool were crowned champions of Europe but narrowly missed out on a first league title since 1990. They ended second to City despite an incredible haul of 97 points – the third highest in top-flight history. The only game the Merseysiders lost came against Pep Guardiola’s side, so victory at Anfield would be a huge step towards a first Premier League title for them.
