Overview
Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League matches. It is the first Manchester derby of the season, with the managers of both United and City getting their first taste of this unique rivalry. David Moyes will be used to the intensity of such games, having overseen plenty of Merseyside derbies in his time as Everton manager. However, the Scot had a poor record in those clashes, and will be hoping for a change of fortunes now he is at Manchester United. His opposite number, Manuel Pellegrino, was sacked after just a season at Real Madrid - in part because his side finished behind arch-rivals Barcelona - so the Chilean also understands the importance of getting the better of big rivals. In the day's early kick-off, Arsenal host Stoke, hoping to extend their perfect home record in Premier League fixtures against the Potters, having won on all five previous occasions. Could new Stoke manager Mark Hughes inspire his side to end their losing streak?

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's Premier League clash between Southampton and West Ham at St Mary's Stadium. The hosts had a decent season last time around, and have newly-capped England striker Rickie Lambert to thank for much of their success in recent years. West Ham have a similarly burly target man in Andy Carroll, and both of them are likely to be battling for the same place in Roy Hodgson's England squad over the coming season. Highlights and analysis of the day's two Premier League fixtures, as Sunderland host Liverpool and Stoke welcome Norwich. Sunderland head coach Paulo Di Canio brought in 14 players over the summer and is already under pressure after failing to win a Premier League game in August. Conversely, Liverpool made a superb start to the season, including victory over champions Manchester United. Stoke made a promising start to the season under new manager Mark Hughes, but after tough fixtures against Manchester City and Arsenal they will welcome the visit of Norwich, who have never won at the Britannia Stadium in eight attempts. Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's three Premier League matches, including two mouthwatering derbies, with Liverpool hosting Manchester United and Arsenal in action against north London rivals Tottenham. The rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United, England's two most successful clubs, ensures games between the two north west teams are always fiercely competitive. But today's fixture has an added edge following United's recruitment of manager David Moyes, who has arrived after 11 years in charge of Liverpool's cross-city rivals Everton. The Scot never won a game at Anfield while in charge of the Toffees, and will want to put that record right with his new club. Derby matches can sometimes be cagey affairs, but games between Arsenal and Tottenham invariably produce entertainment. The previous six meetings have yielded a total of 31 goals - including 5-2 wins for Arsenal in the previous two matches at the Emirates.

The headline-making Jose Mourinho has pulled off some crucial victories at Old Trafford before, while this is David Moyes' first home game in charge of Manchester United. There will also be highlights of all the weekend's action, including Sunday's match between Premier League new boys Cardiff City and Manchester City, plus Tottenham and Swansea's encounter at White Hart Lane.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park. The home side are looking to make amends for their 4-0 defeat to Spurs in the League Cup third round last month. Goals from Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and a brace from Jermain Defoe gave the visitors a comfortable win, although the hosts were controversially denied a clear-cut penalty early in the second half. Tottenham also won 4-0 on their last Premier League visit to Villa Park, with Gareth Bale scoring a hat-trick. The Welshman has since left White Hart Lane to join Real Madrid, but the Londoners have reinvested the proceeds from his sale, purchasing exciting talents such as Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela. Mark Chapman introduces highlights of two matches on the opening Sunday of the 2013/14 Premier League season. Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is back for a second spell in charge of Chelsea - they host newly-promoted Hull at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Ian Holloway's Crystal Palace will be out to prove that they should not necessarily be firm favourites for relegation as Tottenham go to Selhurst Park for a hotly-contested London derby.

With Jose Mourinho having replaced Manuel Pellegrini as Real Madrid manager, the two now do battle in the Premier League, with Mourinho's Chelsea hosting Pellegrini's Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Sunderland meet Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light, with the Black Cats desperate for points after a wretched start to the season. Tottenham's form has been encouraging so far in this campaign, and the London side were aiming to rack up another three points against newly-promoted Hull City. The day's other fixture pits Swansea against West Ham at the Liberty Stadium.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from the Premier League, plus a look back at Saturday's goals. While the fixture list might be relatively quiet, with just two games, the day's action is sure to be explosive with South Wales rivals Cardiff and Swansea going head-to-head. The clash at the Cardiff City Stadium is the first-ever top-flight meeting of the two sides. Elsewhere Everton take on Tottenham in what is, if last season is anything to go by, sure to be an equally entertaining encounter. Two stoppage-time goals earned the Toffees a last-gasp 2-1 victory last term, and new Everton boss Roberto Martinez will be after more of the same as he looks to build on his side's impressive start to this campaign.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from a busy day of Premier League action, as Arsenal travel to champions Manchester United for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement. The Gunners are looking to halt a four-game losing league streak at Old Trafford. Manchester City make the trip to the Stadium of Light, something of a bogey ground for City following 1-0 defeats on each of their last three visits. Newcastle are in London to take on Tottenham, while Swansea host Stoke in the day's other games.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from the day's Premier League matches, with Manchester City playing Tottenham and Cardiff City hosting Manchester United. Manchester City and Tottenham were the Premier League's two biggest spenders this summer, shelling out in the region of £200m to strengthen their squads. The signings of Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas, Fernandinho and Stevan Jovetic underlined City's intention to reclaim the title they won in 2011-12. Spurs, meanwhile, purchased Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado in order to compensate for the loss of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid. Manchester United are the reigning Premier League champions, but the Red Devils are looking to recover from a slow start to the season under manager David Moyes. They can expect a difficult test away to Cardiff, who have already beaten Manchester City on home turf this season. Mark and guests will also look back at the goals from Saturday's seven matches.

In the lunchtime kick-off, there was a mouth-watering clash as Tottenham welcomed champions Manchester United to White Hart Lane. Traditionally this fixture has served up some memorable matches over the years and it is one that has been dominated by the Red Devils. Tottenham have not beaten United at home in the league for 12 matches in a run stretching back to 2001. However, given the indifferent start to the season made by David Moyes' side, Spurs will fancy their chances of pulling off a rare victory. Elsewhere, Chelsea host Southampton in an intriguing-looking encounter. The Saints took four points off the Blues last season, including an impressive 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Also in action are Hull, who host Liverpool at the KC Stadium, and Manchester City take on Swansea at the Etihad.
