While helping at his family's patisserie, Rintaro meets Kaoruko. He fears his appearance has scared her off — but she returns the next day to see him.

Tensions between the two schools escalate during a commotion at Chidori's gates. Later, Rintaro finds a surprise visitor waiting at the patisserie.
Episode 3: A Kind Person
Desperate to improve their grades, Rintaro and Shohei cram in the library. There, Rintaro runs into Kaoruko, but their tender moment gets interrupted.
