Overview
Harold is confused after the accident, and Karl is concerned he’s had a stroke or heart attack. At the hospital, Susan, Lou and Toadie rally around, and Karl reassures them that while Harold doesn’t appear to have had a major episode, he doesn’t know what caused the accident. Meanwhile, in his room, Harold wakes to find Madge by his bedside.

Humiliated and defensive in the wake of being discovered with alcohol, Bailey is withdrawn and reactive as Paige tries to engage him. A condition that Brad notices while having dinner at Harold’s with Josh. Eager to tout the benefits of his running group after it is put down by Nick, Brad sees a perfect opportunity in Bailey and convinces him to come down and try the group out for himself.

Paige notes Brennan’s distraction and checks in with him. Unloading, he mentions Dennis Dimato and the fact his influence is getting a little too close to home for his liking. He offers nothing more, but his mood is enough to warrant Paige raising her concerns about him to Tyler. When she relays that Brennan mentioned Dimato, Tyler’s suddenly on edge.

After she embarrasses him in front of the media, Paul whisks Cousin Hilary back to his penthouse where she complains to Daniel that since she’s returned to Erinsborough, Paul has basically ignored her. Paul is unrepentant and it’s up to Daniel to offer to take her home. But when he gets a call with an emergency at work, he’s forced to leave. Paul offers to take Hilary home or provide a taxi.

Matt is in the doghouse of all doghouses as Lauren struggles to come to grips with revelations of his illegal dealings with Dimato. Lauren confesses to Matt’s mistake to Brad and reveals her uncertainty about the future of their marriage. A defensive Matt resents the lack of support and understanding shown from his wife, especially given he’s forgiven her for her past mistakes.

To celebrate the upcoming Erinsborough Festival, Paul is holding a champagne breakfast for all the sponsors, including his new best friend, Nick. Georgia, as the head of the hospital fundraising committee, is also in attendance and her presence comes in handy when Chris (who’s there as a waiter) chokes on a quickly scoffed canapé.

When Tyler hears that Brennan is taking matters into his own hands re: Dimato, he’s concerned. And his concern only deepens when he’s approached by Dimato, who’s ready to call in his favour – he hears Brennan’s been asking questions and he wants Tyler to do some investigating of his own. Tyler baulks but agrees, knowing Dimato has the upper hand.
