Episode 2: Fugitives 1983-10-06 When Diana discovers Chip's identity, she questions their relationship. Val and Ben suffer a setback. Episode 3: Nowhere to Run 1983-10-13 Chip and Diana are traced to a deserted shack in Oklahoma. Gary hires Laura to work for his company. Episode 4: Marital Privileges 1983-10-20 Diana and Karen clash over Chip. Val renews her acquaintance with Ben. Abby meets State Senator Sumner. Episode 5: One Kind of Justice 1983-10-27 When Chip won't confess, Lilimae adopts desperate measures. Mack is offered a job on a new crime commission. Episode 6: ...And Never Brought to Mind 1983-11-03 Abby leaves Gary after he spends the night with Val. Lilimae needs help in the wake of her attack on Chip. Episode 10: Homecoming 1983-12-01 Gary convinces Cathy to take a job at the ranch. After escaping from the hospital, Chip hides on the ranch. Episode 11: I'll Tell You No Lies 1983-12-08 Diana plans to leave the ranch with Chip, until a chance encounter with Cathy leads to tragedy for Chip. Episode 12: Denials 1983-12-15 Mack discovers Sumner is having him followed. Karen becomes dependent on pills. Gary and Cathy get closer. Episode 13: Witness 1983-12-22 Val discovers she's pregnant, but her joy proves short-lived upon discovering the father's identity. Episode 14: Secrets Cry Aloud 1983-12-29 Mack has evidence against the Wolfbridge Group. Ben learns Gary is the father of Val's baby. Episode 15: Forsaking All Others 1984-01-05 Karen is committed to a hospital for detoxification. Sumner discredits Mack and asks for his resignation. Episode 16: Reconcilable Differences 1984-01-12 Gary uncovers damaging information about Cathy's past. Karen reaches a critical point in her detox program. Episode 17: Second Chances 1984-01-19 Gary learns Cathy served time for murder. Karen and Diana reconcile. Mack continues his investigation. Episode 18: Lest the Truth be Known 1984-02-02 Laura leads Mack to Sumner and learns the identity of the man behind Apolune. Val makes a decision about Ben. Episode 19: So Shall You Reap 1984-02-09 Laura tells Mack everything she knows about Abby's business deals. Abby discovers Laura and Sumner's affair. Episode 21: No Trumpets, No Drums 1984-02-23 Mack goes undercover to investigate the Wolfbridge Group. Abby is served with divorce papers. Episode 22: Silent Missions 1984-03-01 Gary's life is in danger after he blocks the development of Lotus Point. Val gets bad news from El Salvador. Episode 23: Finishing Touches 1984-03-08 Mack tries to get Abby to discuss the Wolfbridge Group, as the organization chases Gary. Ben is found wounded. Episode 24: Yesterday, It Rained 1984-03-22 Karen learns Mack is still investigating the Wolfbridge Group. Ben arrives home. Laura learns Gary is alive. Episode 25: Negotiations 1984-03-29 Mack is the proposed target of an ambush. Val discovers Gary is alive and ends her engagement with Ben.
