Episode 1
Goodeoki, a skilled slave, while preparing to escape from her master's house with her sick father hides in Seo In's home. Misunderstandings with Seo In's fiancée, So Hye, lead to a humiliating punishment. Meanwhile, Lady Ok Tae Young, returning from Qing, stays at an inn. How will the fates of Goodeoki and Ok Tae Young intertwine as they navigate their challenges?
Episode 2
Goodeoki, who now identifies herself as Ok Tae Young to conceal her identity, hides in a secluded annex. Wearing a veil to seek revenge for the late Tae Young, she assists in capturing a group of bandits who raided the inn. The discerning madam Han begins to take an interest in Goodeoki's cleverness. Meanwhile, Seo In, now a storyteller named Chon Seung Hwi, reappears before Goodeoki. Can the two recognize each other under their new names?
Episode 3
Tae Young accuses the Baek Do Gwang family of killing Baekyi, but finds herself up against their claims of innocence as they frame Mak Sim. In her desperation, Tae Young scales the government office's wall, only to come face-to-face with Yun Gyeom, who looks identical to Seung Hwi.

Tae Young joins Gyu Jin to rescue abducted children, aided by a masked man she suspects is Yun Gyeom. Her doubts deepen upon finding a mark on his shoulder. Meanwhile, rumors about a traitor in Cheongsu County spread.

Things get worse for Tae Young as she loses her people one after another. When Mak Sim is at the risk of being sold at a slave market, Tae Young steps in to save her.
