Overview
As master assassin Usui Yuen looks into a series of assassinations made on the grand samurai clan, the Satsuma, he encounters Kurima Raizo, member and survivor of one of the attacks. Together, they discover the true nature of these murders is bigger than over stolen resources. As they get closer to the truth, will they come out alive to exact revenge?

Episode 1: Once Upon a Time in Nagasaki
Kurima Raizo, a samurai loyal to his daimyo, reflects on what he's done after finishing an unwanted quest, while talking to a complete stranger who seems to sympathize with his pain.
Episode 2: Gold Opens Any Door
After exacting his revenge, Kurima Raizo finds himself aimless, but Usui Yuen has a proposition.
Episode 3: Fortune is Fickle and Blind
Raizo ends up staying in Nagasaki and Yuen decides to find a place for him to stay, but someone doesn't like that idea at all.
Episode 4: Ask, and You Shall Receive
After settling in Soji's room for good, Raizo doesn't seem to leave the room and the reason is quite simple: lack of money.
Episode 5: Love Never Dies
Some children living in the mountains have started mysteriously disappearing, but unfortunately Yuen has no idea who is doing it.
Episode 6: Adversary Advent
After presenting their drawings and a potential source of income, Raizo and Soji are attacked on their way back.
Episode 7: Rosy Pitfall
Raizo still has not come to terms with the matter of Matsumine and his homeland. Meanwhile, there are other opium-related problems.
Episode 8: Two of a Trade Never Agree
Yuen guides Raizo to the shelter where he began his activities to allow him to explore this path more fully, but the ronin shows signs of insecurity, though he is flattered. Is the life of an artist really for him? Faced with this difficult choice, he dwells on the past.
Episode 9: Mutual Understanding
Due to the appearance of the third group, Raizo and the others will have to save Liu's life. And therefore they will know why the Chinese sought opium.
Episode 10: Nowhere to Run
After Liu's death, Soji and everyone else are in danger due to a mysterious threat. Meanwhile, Yuen begins to have many doubts.
Episode 11: The Die is Cast
Raizo and the others remain under Shishido's behest of a group of revengers from another region as they try to uncover more details about Satsuma's opium.
Episode 12: The Sun Always Rises
The Nagasaki revengers decide to settle the opium case with Shishido once and for all and make a risky move.
