Overview
During the Warring States era, the feuding generals were suddenly struck down one after another by the demonic Kishin. In the 150 years since, groups of individuals have continued to resist Kishin control. They are called Bushi bands. When they were young, Musashi and Kojiro would hear tales about the Bushi from Kojiro's father, and the two of them dream to form the strongest Bushi band. One day, as Musashi struggles with his choices, he witnesses humans being torn apart by oni. Forced to face the truth, Musashi rises up against the powerful oni to make his dream with Kojiro come true!

With the arrival of the Takeda Bushi band, Musashi is desperate to defeat the Kishin before they can.

Episode 11: What's in a Katana
The Obsidian Goddess tells Musashi that she will be going back to sleep inside of him and no matter what foes he faces, he must not die. Because he is her vessel and because Jisai died before they were able to finish what they started. Musashi wonders what that has to do with Jisai, but the Goddess doesn't have time to explain and decides to show Musashi how she fights in the material world.

Leaving for new adventures, the shock trio is already lost in the forest. During a confrontation against an oni, Musashi narrowly saves a young girl, whose role within the bushi is far from trivial...

Musashi, Kojiro, and Tsugumi meet up with the gathering Uesugi Alliance in an effort to learn more about Kojiro's father. But with a battle against the Kishin of Awaji Island looming, the assembled forces might not be in the mood to indulge outsiders...

After volunteering to take part in a duel for the leadership of his unit, Musashi is confronted with a grim reality.

Musashi's troubles in the Shimazu Unit seem to get worse and worse, with accusations of desertion and espionage thrown his way. At least he can turn to the gentle Michiru to take his side... or can he?

With the connection between Musashi and Michiru, the location of the Goddess Obsidian ends up being discovered by Yataro, who immediately warns the Black Dogs, and the group assembles a strategy to recover her.

With every town cleansed and every demon destroyed, they come closer to the youma on which Clare has sought vengeance ever since she chose to become a Claymore.
